In the Army, Ranger school graduates are authorized to wear a black and gold Ranger “tab” on your left should above your Shoulder Sleeve Insignia (SSI – or “unit patch”) on the Green Class “A” uniform.

There is also a subdued version for the ACU, worn on the left shoulder pocket flap.

For the Dress Blue uniform (soon to become the Army Service Uniform), there is a metal replica. This metal replica can also be worn on the Class B uniform (shirt/slacks with no jacket). There is also a miniature metal version for the Army Blue and White Mess uniforms.
